Cookies

This page explains what cookies and similar storage are, which ones Sensor Cloudhub uses, how to accept or reject them, and what happens if you disable them. It complements the Privacy notice.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site asks your browser to store. We also use localStorage for the consent choice itself. Neither is a programme that can read unrelated files on your computer. They remember a small fact — a consent flag, a session hint, or an analytics identifier — so the site does not have to ask you the same question every time you open a page.

Types we use

Essential. Required to remember that you have already chosen Accept or Reject, and to keep basic page functions working. These do not profile you for marketing.

Analytics (optional). Used only if you press Accept on the banner. They help us see which syllabus and journal pages people finish, in aggregate. They are not required to browse, submit the contact form, or study.

We do not run advertising networks on this site. Rejecting optional cookies does not hide content, change fees, or block forms.

Cookie table

Name Purpose Duration Provider
sensorCloudhub_cookieConsent Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies so the banner does not return every visit. Until you clear localStorage or overwrite the choice Sensor Cloudhub (first party, localStorage)
sc_session Optional short-lived host session hint used by some static hosts for caching; not used for advertising. Session Sensor Cloudhub / site host
_sc_analytics Aggregate page-view counts for syllabus and journal improvement. Set only after Accept. 6 months Sensor Cloudhub analytics (first party)
fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com Delivers display and body fonts. May set third-party cookies according to Google Fonts’ own practices. Per Google Fonts policy Google Fonts (third party)

How to manage or disable cookies

On first visit the banner offers Accept and Reject with equal prominence. Your choice is saved under the key sensorCloudhub_cookieConsent. To decide again, clear that key in your browser’s localStorage for this site and reload, or write info@sensor-cloudhub.digital and we will confirm how to reset it on common browsers.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a tracking-protection mode, or install a reputable blocker. Browser controls apply to all sites, not only ours.

Third-party cookies

Google Fonts may set its own cookies when typefaces load. Unsplash, when images are requested directly from their CDN, may receive your IP address and standard request headers; that is a network request, not a cookie we set. We do not embed third-party social widgets or advertising pixels. If we add a processor later, this table will be updated before the banner starts relying on it.

Impact of disabling

Rejecting optional analytics, or blocking cookies entirely, does not stop you from reading courses, using the contact form, or opening legal pages. You may see the cookie banner again if localStorage is cleared. Font fallbacks may appear if Google Fonts is blocked. Image hosts may still log requests at the network level even when cookies are off. Essential consent storage, if blocked, simply means we cannot remember your choice.
